We can offer timber gates in a Close Board finish or Tongue and Groove along with Field Gates, traditional Palisade, Entrance style gates and many more. We also have a small range of Iron gates. Our standard sized gates are supplied by a Brtitsh manufacturer, established since 1903 and holding a Royal Warrant. More often than not a gateway is of a non standard size so we manufacture our own gates in our workshop for this purpose. When it comes to choosing the right gate there are a few things to take in to account. If it is an entrance gate at the front of your property you may not need anything too practical but more design led, does it fit in with the style of your house and the properties around it, will you want to paint it and what type of latch works best for the amount of use it well get. If it is a side gate securing the back of your property you may want something more robust and a key lock, you may even want a hedgehog/ cat hole, we get asked for those alot! We may advise you have a head rail above the gate and secured to the post each side, this provides additional strength and rigidity to the gate , on request we can make it removable if you have tall objects to take through.
